Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning uses a precise, feather-light blade to sweep away the fine vellus hair and dead surface cells that scatter light and catch makeup. The result is immediate: smoother, brighter skin and a flawless product canvas. At The Skin Method it is a 30-minute add-on at $79, most loved layered before a facial or peel.
Why add dermaplaning
- Instantly smoother texture and a brighter surface
- Peach fuzz gone, so makeup sits cleanly
- Serums and masks absorb more effectively immediately afterwards
- No downtime at all
Layered at the start of a Signature Facial or before a gentle peel, it measurably lifts what every following step can do.
The facts on regrowth
Vellus hair does not grow back thicker or darker; that is a myth. It returns exactly as it was, usually over 3 to 4 weeks, which is why many clients simply build dermaplaning into their regular facial rhythm.
Will my hair grow back darker?
No. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair, which regrows at the same softness and colour as before. The thicker-regrowth idea is a myth the industry has been correcting for years.
Can sensitive skin have dermaplaning?
Usually yes, as it is a gentle mechanical treatment with no chemicals or heat. Active breakouts in the area are the main reason to postpone, and Chloe checks your skin before starting.
